With exquisite timing, former PM Tony Blair has expressed his support for armed intervention in Syria on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, as reported in this Telegraph article:

Comparing the death toll in Syria with that in Iraq – which he understates by a factor of ten – Blair says this is a reason to intervene. Odd logic, seeing as the ‘intervention’ in Iraq was the main cause of deaths there, and deaths for which Blair shares responsibility.

 However it appears that just because he supports the Muslim Brotherhood in Syria doesn’t mean he supports them in Egypt…now.
